Jakes New Bike!

Voodoo Chemicals’ Jake has been a busy lad, swapping up his bike to a Honda CBR1000. 

The CBR is a powerful bit of kit — knocking out over 214bhp at the rear wheel, increased agility and better onboard tech over his previous bike. It’s a beast that should allow him to push harder, find those extra fractions of a second to really challenge the pack on grid.

It hasn’t all been plain sailing. Jake ran into a few suspension issues during the MotoGP Silverstone, which made the bike tough to handle under braking and through the corners. The team has addressed this in the pits, swapping in a new suspension setup that should suit both Jake and the CBR1000 much better. The result? A more stable ride, sharper corner entry and greater confidence when putting the power down which has been proven in testing last weekend.

Meanwhile, back at home, Jake’s race truck is also undergoing a transformation. It’s currently being kitted out to become a proper team hub including a steam room (We will be having a go of that on our next visit!)

With these upgrades in place and a new bike beneath him, Jake is now ready to take on the next round at Snetterton with a fresh mindset and everything to prove. The combination of a revamped CBR1000, a tailored setup now on point and a new team in a strong position to move forward and show what he’s got.
